It All Adds Up to Cleaner Air takes a season-less approach to winter's Simple Steps with a new Flash animation
October, 2006—It All Adds Up to Cleaner Air introduces a fresh take on the Simple Steps for winter—trip chaining and telecommuting—with a brand new Flash animation that organizations and individuals can use to spread air quality and congestion messages from coast to coast…no matter what the weather is.
In response to requests from Community Partners, It All Adds Up to Cleaner Air is pleased to offer this free "season-less" Flash—perfect for Web sites, presentations, e-mails, and electronic newsletters—as an easy, cost-effective way for air quality and transportation professionals to promote simple actions people can take to help reduce traffic congestion and pollution.
"Unlike the rest of our seasonal It All Adds Up Flash animations, we've kept the weather out of this one," said Kathy Daniel, air quality specialist with the Federal Highway Administration and project manager of It All Adds Up to Cleaner Air. "We've made this new Flash animation useful and appealing to communities everywhere, anytime. So, whether it's snowing and cold or sunny and warm, this commercial-quality marketing tool is a great way to encourage people to trip chain, telecommute, and spread the word."
The new It All Adds Up Flash delivers a colorful and engaging sequence of practical air quality tips with contemporary images, playful icons, and familiar real-life sound effects that ring true in every region. To keep the message circulating, viewers are encouraged to click to send the Flash to friends, family, and co-workers.
"It All Adds Up Flash animations are such a fun and easy way to share congestion and air quality information for free," Daniel said. "We hope our transportation and air quality partners will take advantage of this new tool... Imagine how many people could be reached with a few simple clicks!"
