Web Site Story

When you visited the It All Adds Up to Cleaner Air Web site to view the summer materials, you may have noticed some changes and some new features. During the past few months, we have been working hard to make the site more user friendly and to bring more resources to you.

One of the most visible changes is our reorganized Download Center, which groups the It All Adds Up materials into easier-to-understand categories. So, whether you’re new to the It All Adds Up initiative and want to learn more; already have a full-fledged transportation and air quality public education program; or are somewhere in between, you’ll be able to find materials that fit your needs.

Through our ongoing communication with you, we’ve found that, overwhelmingly, you enjoy hearing about how other transportation and air quality organizations are spreading the It All Adds Up messages. To that end, we’ve begun highlighting a Community Partner Champion each month and posting a case study of their great work on the Web site. Our Champions’ efforts exemplify the wide variety of activities being conducted by Community Partners. From placing billboards at local and national sports games; to creating new, targeted radio ads; to developing employer toolkits for worksite outreach, the Champions have innovative ideas to share. Be sure to visit our homepage each month to find the newest Community Partner Champion.

Past It All Adds Up Community Partner Champions include:

  • Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources and Wisconsin Partners for Clean Air in Madison, WI
  • New York City Department of Transportation in NYC, NY
  • Dover/Kent County Metropolitan Planning Organization in Dover, DE
  • Spokane County Air Pollution Control Authority in Spokane, WA
  • Fayetteville Area Metropolitan Planning Organization in Fayetteville, NC
  • Central Florida Clean Air Team in Orlando, FL

Perhaps most important of the Web site upgrades is a tool we’ve added that allows you to share your stories with us. Not only is it valuable for us to know about the great work you’re doing in your community, but we’d also like to recognize your dedicated efforts. Throughout the Web site, we’ve included a link to the page where you can submit your stories. Feel free to submit your successes and lessons learned as often as they occur – the more the better! You may find your organization being named a Community Partner Champion of the Month, featured in a Community Partner Spotlight story in the quarterly newsletter, or highlighted in the Exemplary Materials section of the Web site.
